Two days ago, during the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo, some students in a California high school were threatened with suspension if they remained in school with their T-shirts showing the American flag. They opted to leave, rather than be suspended.
The reason: displaying the American flag on Cinco de Mayo was “disrespectful” to the Mexican students! This is utterly ridiculous……The American flag is the flag of this country and should NEVER be banned! The Mexican students certainly have the right (under OUR constitution) to display the Mexican flag in celebration of their former country’s holiday, but that should NEVER preclude anyone from displaying the flag of the United States of America. I have seen many cars on the roads displaying the Mexican flag (and they don’t cover them up on July 4th), and flags from many other countries.
This is just another example of the Socialist administration and tendencies within our country that is hell-bent on diluting America to the point that no American will recognize.
The safety of the 5 students who wore their flag proudly is now in question by authorities. So, the authorities recognize that the Mexican students might seek retaliation against these patriotic Americans. It isn’t the American kids who are threatening the Mexican kids; it’s the other way around. Are all of our children going to require police escorts to get them to school safely?
This is an outrage.

Cinco De MAyo is a very minor holiday in Mexico. It is celebrated here i the US as a reason to have a party including alcohol. And I agree, the American flag is the Ensign of this great nation. Disrespect it, leave!
