Enough already!

I heard that some stupid group is bestowing the monocle of HERO upon Michael Vick, the convicted felon who murdered dogs and backed, and profited from operating a dog fighting business. He didn't only fund the operation, he brutally MURDERED dogs. Then the NFL decided that he deserved a second chance, and while I believe in second chances, I don't think he has done enough to make up for his behavior! Yet, since he makes money for the NFL and the Eagles, he is celebrated. The fans love him. Where are our morals?

Now, today while watching the discovery channel, an ad came on announcing a new 'reality show' starring none other than Mike Tyson! Yet another convicted felon (rapist) who is now to be celebrated even after proving that he is still a social deviate. This is the guy who bit off his opponent's ear!

Our society must begin to restrain itself from considering ONLY profits when it comes to a person's morality. I was happy to see that the producers of Charlie Sheen's show finally was forced into making the decision to discountinue his show. He needs help and he has betrayed everyone who every cared about him. Hopefully, he will seek out (and get) the help he needs to turn his life around.
But, I also read that he is shopping his "tell-all" book for around $10 Million and I am afraid that somewhere there is a publisher who would rather make the money than help Charlie.

While there are reality shows on TV that have merit, there are far too many that simply take up time. The Real Housewives series started out showing the malfunctioning lives of women in California, the they did a spin-off of a couple who had broken up (really?). Several of the happy couples on the show are no longer couples, and the sleeze bag boyfriend (on the spin-off) turned back to another 'housewife' for his comfort, care (and probably living expenses).

Then the New York countess who is not now, nor has she ever been a countess, the spin off for the other one who just had a baby. Then they moved on to Atlanta and from that show they produced a fantastic 'rock star' who claims she is 32 or 33 and has to be 45+.

Anyway, I beg those who determine what we are subjected to on TV to show a little more thought before buying this shit, and failing that, I implore those of you with even a minimum of intellect to stop watching!

Yes, I have watched the real housewives series as it has helped me to justify the fact that I am no longer married!
